First Day of School

Running just a week behind! But we made it to 1st and 5th grade ... my how time flies! I have a picture with Clark and his teacher ... but I found out that at the Intermediate School you don't walk in with the kids ( made me kinda sad) but I took the traditional 1st day of school pictures on the back porch! So far both are very happy and excited ... just a little tired, but we will get back in the swing of things and all will go just right.

Yes, we had a "LIVE" lizard in the playroom this morning!!! But thanks to my wonderful boys he is now outside playing and not running around our house :)

Have to catch up .... We celebrated my mom's birthday with Breakfast at Cracker Barrel and Dinner at Casa Blanca with a day of swimming between the two ... Fun Filled Day! Happy Birthday Mom!

2009 Pensacola Beach

What a great "business" trip we had ... Mike had to teach 2 classes in Pensacola, so the boys and I tagged along! We had a great time playing in the sand and ocean ... something the boys have just come to appreciate. They are growing so fast and we had a wonderful time!

Braxton's Big Day!

Today, Tuesday, February 10th Braxton had his braces REMOVED! Originally he was told it would take 9 to 12 months ... but, we only had them 6 months!!! He still has some things he will sleep with but those pearly whites are showing again. The excitement this morning was bouncing him all around this house and when Dr. Griggs removed them he brought him a goody sack with all kinds of hard candy ( he has not be allowed to have hard candy with the braces since it could possibly pull the wires loose). He has the sweetest smile and he loves to show it right now! This is our after and before picture this morning...

Clark's First Dentist Visit

Monday, February 9th was finally Clark's first dental visit. We have tried two other times to have his teeth cleaned and he did not cooperate. But, Monday was the day ... he cried entering the office and came out scared of nothing! Once we get over the fear, all is well, if I could only make him trust me! He now has a new tooth brush, toothpaste and his own dental floss which he likes to lick the mint taste off.

Good Sport MOM!!!! or should we say CRUELLA

On Friday the school had dress like a movie star or book character to kick-off Book Fair this week. A friend had the Cruella costume and I bored it! My boys still talked to me and the kids and myself had a blast! I went to Clark's class before I had to be at work and read the 101 Dalmatians book to them from Cruella's side of the story and told them I was looking for spots ... today they still ask me did I find any spots in their room. Teachers did not recognize me walking down the hall but we all had a good time with Cruella!!!!

Clark is now "6"

It's official ... Clark is 6 years old! He was not 6 until his party ... now the party is over and we can start February. We had the party at JumpZone in Madison and that is his favorite place to go and have a good time.

Wii Hula-Hoop Anyone???

I have to share ... After the birthday party on Saturday the family came over to eat and play. Meme tried to help Riley Kate with the Hula-Hoop. This brought tears to our eyes, she is adorable and this video only shows a small portion of her attempt to Hula-Hoop like Meme.

January 2, 2003!

January is a big month in the Brand house since Clark was born on January 2, 2003. So, we have a big Birthday Party coming up this Saturday! I'm sure we will have plenty of pictures to share. He had his special friend day at school and Mike and I got to go to his room and all the kids shared things about Clark for his "special friend" book. Some comments: He knows how to write his name, he likes to play with me, he is a helper and one sweet little boy said he wanted to be Clark's Cousin ... when it was time to get up he had to give Clark a big hug and of course I had my camera!
